2 The Old Vicarage

The Old Vicarage The Old Vicarage is set in 5 acres in the heart of the Golden Valley midway between Hay-on-Wye, world famous for its book shops, and Hereford of Mappa Mundi and Chained Library renown. Views from the bedrooms are particularly delightful with wooded hills and green fields dotted with sheep and white-faced Hereford cattle. Closer at hand, early risers may catch glimpses of rabbits, squirrels or even our barn owl. In Spring, a profusion of wild daffodils, bluebells, cowslips & violets are a joy to behold. At the turn of the last century, the Rev. Skeffington Dodgson, brother of Lewis Carroll, was vicar of Vowchurch and lived in this house with his family.

Accommodation offers a very attractive selection of rooms: Doubles, Twin, Family, single rooms with ensuites / private bathrooms. Fresh fruit, flowers and hospitality tray. A non-smoking establishment.
