Highfield
Standing in a large garden with unspoilt views of open farmland and distant hills, Highfield enjoys a pleasant rural situation just 1 ˝ miles along the Ivington Road from the old market town of Leominster. Built in Edwardian times, it is now the home of twins, Catherine and marguerite Fothergill, and their main object is to see that guests should feel relaxed and at home.
Guests are most welcome to use either of the two sitting rooms, one with television and French windows opening onto the patio while the other receives the morning sun and houses the ‘Tourist Information Library’. The house is centrally heated but for the chillier seasons there are open fires in the sitting rooms and extra heating in the bedrooms. Ample parking.
Catherine and Marguerite enjoy good food and describe themselves as natural cooks. The meals are lovingly prepared from good fresh ingredients (where possible local produce is used) and delightfully served in the charming diningroom. All gastronomic needs and desires are catered for and a modest wine list is available.
There are three bedrooms – two twins (one ensuite and one with private bathroom) and one double, with private bathroom. All rooms have delightful aspects and are supplied with radio alarm clocks, tea/coffee making facilities and hairdryers.
