10 The New Inn

The New Inn

Built around 1540 in the traditional "black and white" style, the New Inn retains all of its original features with hosts of beams and timbers.    Two fourposter bedrooms: the Oak Suite has an ensuite bathroom plus its own sitting and dining area where guests who prefer to take their meals in private can relax in comfort.    The Hentland Room has an ensuite shower room plus antique chests and drawers.    Both include colour television, tea and coffee making facilities.

Both the lounge bar and restaurant are enhanced with huge inglenook fireplaces which crackle to the sound of burning logs all winter.   The bar offers a wide range of real ales from selected breweries as well as a fine selection of wines and spirits.

The pub is renowned for its excellent food and serves an extensive menu everyday, either in the lounge or non-smoking restaurant. The majority of the dishes are homemade using fresh produce from local suppliers.
